Step into the heart of Mentawai life on a 3-day journey from Padang to Siberut. Travel by ferry and small boat to a riverside village, where you’ll be welcomed into a traditional uma and introduced to the rhythms of island life. Trek through lush jungle with a native guide, learning about medicinal plants and sacred trees, then try your hand at crafting bark-cloth clothing in the evening glow. Share stories by the campfire with village elders, join in daily activities like sago harvesting or fishing, and carry home memories of a culture that lives in harmony with the forest and sea.

Itinerary Detail

Day 1 – Padang ➡ Siberut
Morning: Meet at Padang Port, ferry to Siberut
Afternoon: Arrive at the port, continue by small boat to the village
Evening: Welcomed by host family in uma, cultural orientation
Night: Dinner together, introduction to Mentawai life

Day 2 – Jungle & Culture Exploration
Morning: Jungle trekking with local guide, learn about medicinal plants & sacred trees
Afternoon: Lunch in the forest or uma
Evening: Workshop making traditional bark-cloth clothing (kabid)
Night: Campfire & storytelling with elders

Day 3 – Daily Activities & Return to Padang
Morning: Join villagers’ daily activities (sago harvesting / fishing)
Afternoon: Farewell with host family
Evening: Boat back to port, ferry to Padang
