Departures follow the Mentawai Fast ferry from Muaro Padang on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 07:00 (crossing 4–7 hours depending on sea conditions). How do I book a Mentawai tour? +
Book directly with Andrian via WhatsApp — no agency, no online payment gateway required. Message him your preferred tour (tribe or surf), group size, and rough dates. He confirms availability, sends full pricing, and holds your spot with a 50% deposit. The balance is due 7 days before departure.
How much does it cost to book a Mentawai tour? +
Mentawai tribe tours cost USD 215–620 per person depending on duration and group size: 3 days from USD 215 (3+ guests), 5 days from USD 360, 7 days from USD 420. The 7-day surf camp is USD 950. Prices are fixed all year and include the ferry, permits, Uma stay, meals and guide.
How do I confirm my booking after submitting this form? +
After you submit, Andrian will WhatsApp you within 24 hours (usually same day). You'll discuss dates, final details, and payment options. No pressure, just honest conversation.
What if I don't have specific dates yet? +
No problem. Put "Flexible" in the dates field. Andrian will help you find the best dates based on swell (for surfing), weather, and your schedule.
Can I customize my itinerary? +
Yes. Select "Custom Itinerary" and describe what you want. Andrian builds packages tailored to your interests—remote tribe visits, specific breaks, cultural focus, mix of everything.
What if my group is larger than 5 people? +
Great! Mention it in "Special Requests." For groups of 9–80 people, contact Andrian via WhatsApp for a custom group quote. He can accommodate up to 10 groups simultaneously. Small groups of up to 8 use standard per-person pricing.
Do you offer travel insurance recommendations? +
We recommend travel insurance with adventure/remote area coverage. Andrian can suggest providers familiar with Mentawai trips. It's optional but wise for international travelers.
What payment methods do you accept? +
Bank transfer, PayPal, Wise (TransferWise). Andrian will provide account details after booking confirmation. All methods are secure and straightforward.
Is the price quoted in USD or EUR? +
Primarily USD. EUR available upon request (1 USD ≈ €0.87). Final price confirmed at booking based on current exchange rates.
What's your cancellation policy? +
Cancelled 45+ days before arrival: deposit refundable, minus bank transfer fees. 30–44 days: 50% of deposit retained. Less than 30 days: deposit forfeited, but trip is rebookable within 12 months at no extra charge. If a storm stops the ferry or another event outside our control cancels the trip, you can reschedule at no extra charge, or we refund what you paid minus only costs already spent (tickets, permits, food). Travel insurance strongly recommended for international travelers.
