What's the skill level requirement?
Surfers of all levels. You should be comfortable in overhead+ conditions and able to paddle out independently.
How many people minimum?
Minimum 4 persons. Solo travelers can join existing departures or arrange a private group (premium rates apply).
When is the best time to go?
April–October for consistent swell. June–September offers the biggest, most reliable swells. Book 2+ months ahead for peak season.
How do I get from Padang to Mentawai?
Mentawai Fast ferry from Muaro Padang every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 07:00. Crossing is 3–6 hours depending on weather and sea conditions. Ferry tickets and Padang transfers are included — Andrian arranges everything from the airport.
Can solo travelers join?
Yes. If schedules align, solos can join existing departures. Or book a private group (contact us for rates). Solo travelers welcome on all packages.

Is there WiFi at the Premium camp?
Yes. Premium camp has WiFi. Mobile signal: Telkomsel only — XL, Indosat, and Tri have zero coverage on Siberut Island. Get a Telkomsel SIM in Padang before the ferry.
What surf breaks are near the Premium camp?
The Premium camp is beachfront — surf breaks are 5–30 minutes by speedboat. Johan monitors daily and picks lineups based on your level and conditions. Common breaks: E-Bay, Bankvaults, Bengbeng, Nipussi, Pitstop, Barrel Town, Island Peak.
Do I need a wetsuit?
No. Water temperature stays 27–29°C year-round. A rash guard for sun protection is recommended. Reef booties optional but useful for shallow reef breaks.
