This is not a tour. This is access — 3 days living with the Mentawai tribe in Siberut's ancient forest, 1 day snorkeling at exotic uninhabited islands. Led by Andrian Salis, 3rd-generation Mentawai veteran raising the 4th generation on Siberut.

Real Tribe Access
Stay 2 nights in a genuine UMA longhouse with a Sikerei shaman family. Learn sago processing, bark cloth making, and bow & arrow (poison arrows — the real Mentawai tradition). Not a cultural show — a real household.
Exotic Island Snorkeling
Day 3 takes you to uninhabited islands by speedboat for snorkeling in some of Indonesia's clearest water. Fresh seafood lunch on the beach. A complete contrast to the forest days — by design.
Small International Group
Travel like a local. Small group only — max 8 people. Group conducted in English. Andrian controls the pace, energy, and experience for every participant — including solo travelers.
8 Scheduled Departures — Choose Your Month
All departures Saturday from Muaro Padang on Mentawai Fast ferry. Return Tuesday. Spots fill fast — maximum 8 participants per trip.
What Happens Each Day
Surfing and tribe tours cannot be done on the same day — locations are approximately 3 hours apart by combined land and sea travel. The Hybrid Trip pairs tribe with island hopping instead.
- Meet at Muaro Padang port at 07:00
- Board Mentawai Fast ferry (3–6 hours depending on conditions)
- Arrive Siberut — welcomed by local team
- Journey to tribal village on foot and by river
- Dinner with host family in the UMA longhouse
- Morning with Sikerei shaman — the spiritual heart of tribe life
- Bark cloth clothing making by hand
- Bow & arrow practice with poison arrows (the real Mentawai weapon — not a blowpipe)
- Finding sago grubs with the host family — a true forest delicacy
- Forest trek bordering the 403,000-hectare Siberut National Park
- Second night in the UMA longhouse
- Morning: continued Sikerei sessions and traditional activities at the UMA
- Observe traditional Mentawai tattooing (titi)
- Trek from UMA to Kulukubuk waterfall
- Journey to coastal village (muara)
- Check in to beachfront homestay
- Fresh seafood dinner at the beachfront hotel — last night of the trip
- Night 3: beachfront homestay
- Early morning: speedboat to exotic uninhabited islands
- Snorkeling in some of Indonesia's clearest water
- Return to Siberut port by late morning
